Countdown to Rare Disease Day 2022

At The Aarskog Foundation, we have already started planning for Rare Disease Day 2022. It is a great event that brings together the rare disease community worldwide to highlight rare diseases and how we need more research, funding and awareness for them. Rare diseases affect 300 million people across the globe and there could be many more who are yet to be diagnosed. So, save 28th February 2022 in your diary for Rare Disease Day! 

Fantastic Fundraising

Throughout our awareness month, people have been supporting the foundation via fundraising events. We had Oscar's Animal Menagerie hold a raffle and Delia rounded up her local community to help organise a walk, cake sale and pop up bar all in aid of the Aarskog Foundation. Without donations, the vital work the foundation carries out for Aarskog patients and their families simply couldn't continue so we can't thank everyone enough for their hard work and support. The start of Aarskog Awareness Month 2021

The International Aarskog Awareness Month started yesterday (29th September) and got off to a great start. We were honoured to be chosen by Rare Special Powers as a charity for their Light A Monument campaign to raise awareness of rare diseases. They lit up the facade of Giuseppe Garibaldi primary school in blue for Aarskog Syndrome. We also had some fundraisers within the Aarskog community start including a cake raffle. We will have lots more exciting projects coming up over the awareness month so stay tuned! 

Million Dollar Bike Ride
